This is Nik he is 4 years old.  He has had open heart surgery 7 months after birth.  We just found out this year that he will have to have valve replacements until he becomes a full adult. I guess we always new that something would need to be fixed since he had leaking in the heart for sometime.  But your never ready for anything when it comes to your kids.  Just before his operation my wife wrote this poem and It just seems to touch my heart so much I needed to share it with you.

NIKOLAS

My lil Angel
A gift from above
Heaven sent
A bundle of love
A tiny heart
In need of mending
A guardian angel
Please be sending
Guide him through
His surgery with ease
I pray to you lord
Return him please
My little hero
So brave and sweet
My precious Nikolas
You make my life Complete
